  • Use Enterprise Search for granular discovery across every connected source at the same time. Enterprise Search provides an AI-generated summary, filters for source, date, and type, and a Dive Deeper handoff to the AI assistant.

    Before you begin

Before you start, confirm the following:

    • Your organization has connected sources to Enterprise Search, such as SharePoint, OneDrive, Slack, and internal training libraries.
    • You have access to the search sources.

    About this task

Enterprise Search gives you one place to find any content connected to Employee Slate. Content includes formal knowledge and employee-created content, such as SharePoint files or email messages. For how search sits alongside the AI assistant, see Enterprise Search.

    Procedure

    1. In the app section of the left panel, select Enterprise Search.
    2. Enter a search query, for example: USA travel guidance.
    3. Review the AI-generated summary at the top of the results.
The summary synthesizes the most relevant guidance across every connected source.
    4. Apply filters to narrow the results.
      • Source: For example, SharePoint for company-wide content or OneDrive for private files.
      • Date: Limit the results to a time range that matches the query.
      • Type: Limit the results to a content type, such as documents, Slack threads, or training guides.
    5. Optional: Ask a follow-up question or take action, select Dive Deeper.

The AI assistant picks up where the search left off, with the full context already loaded. Ask a follow-up question such as Who is the presales expert for manufacturing?. The assistant surfaces the person and the source reference.

    Result

You find relevant content across every connected source in one search. The Dive Deeper action turns a discovery session into a continued conversation with the AI assistant, without restating the context.
