Search for contract information using natural language queries to quickly find relevant contracts, clauses, and insights.

## About conversational contract search {#cmpro-agentic-use-conv-search__section_about}

Conversational contract search enables you to find contract information using natural language queries in the ServiceNow Otto panel. You can search across contract metadata fields or within contract document content to quickly locate relevant information.

Contract fulfillers and assignment group managers with the sn_cm_gen_ai.ai_contract_fulfiller and now_assist_panel_user role can use conversational search in the ServiceNow Otto panel.  
Note:  
Conversational search isn't supported in the Virtual Agent panel.

## Types of conversational searches {#cmpro-agentic-use-conv-search__section_search_types}

Conversational search supports the following query types:

* **Metadata queries:** Search based on contract fields such as vendor names, contract dates, payment terms, or contract status. Example: "List all contracts for the vendor Acme."
* **Document content queries:** Search for specific clauses or text within contract documents. Example: "List contracts that have a Confidentiality clause."
* **Combined queries:** Search using both metadata and document content criteria. Example: "List contracts for Acme vendor with Confidentiality clause."
* **Summarization and Q\&A:** Get summaries or ask questions about specific contracts. Example: "Summarize the contract CNTR21002."

Use the following methods to search for contract information:

* **Search in contract metadata:** Find contracts by querying structured information in contract fields. * **Search in contract documents:** Find information within the content of contract documents, including clauses and specific text.
