# Register a contractor company through Employee Center

# Register a contractor company through Employee Center {#ariaid-title1}

Register a contractor company to initiate its health and safety pre-qualification process with safety contractor coordinators in your organization.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_hs_crm.reporter

## About this task

A safety contractor coordinator can also directly add a contractor company from the Health and Safety Workspace. For more information, see [Add a contractor company from Health and Safety Workspace](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/3CXid82KXEKScpz2n5IVIw "Add a contractor company to prequalify it and its workers. You can then manage the contractor workers from this company for their health and safety.").

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllSelf-ServiceEmployee Center.
2. In the Employee Center, under the Health and Safety menu, select Contractor management and then select Register a contractor company.
3. On the form, fill in the fields.
   1. Enter the company name and select an appropriate industry type for the company.
   2. Add a primary contact from the contractor company.  
      This field displays only users who have been assigned the \[snc_external\] role and have a Health and Safety profile created for them.

4. Select Submit.

## Result

* The contractor company is registered for health and safety.
* The contractor company is listed in the Contractor companies list on Health and Safety Workspace. A safety contractor coordinator \[sn_hs_crm.contractor_coordinator\] can view all the registered companies by navigating to the Health and Safety Workspace and selecting the contractor management icon (![Contractor management icon]()).
