Modify the Guided self-service widget display

  • The widget displays the help content for the Employee Center Pro Kiosk user. You can configure the instance options based on your display preferences.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_hr_sp.esc_admin

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Employee Center or Employee Center Pro Kiosk home page.
    2. Click the Guided Self-Service widget.
    3. Press and hold the control key on the keyboard, right-click the widget, and then select Instance Options.
    4. Configure the instance options.

      Guided Help Processes

      Select the processes for guided self-service. For example,
      Email recovery or Password reset
      Note:
      Ensure the guided help process is marked active for display on the widget.
      Load Configuration Sets how the order in which the page and widgets data loads. Select one of the following options:

      Asynchronous: First the page loads, then the widgets data loads. Users see content appear in the widgets as soon as each individual widget loads.

      Synchronous: Page and widget data loads at the same time. The page remains blank until all the data loads.

      Show empty state Allows the widget to appear if there are no published news articles
      Note:
      These options are available from the home page widget only. The topic page widget doesn't show the options.
    5. Click Save.
