Opting out of a prompt in Employee Portal

  • Choose not to receive a specific prompt by opting out of the signal displayed in Employee Portal.

    Before you begin

    Role required: none

    • Make sure that Manager Hub and Talent Development installed to access these tabs in the Employee Portal.
    • To access the prompts on any other portal page in the Employee Portal, the Prompt widget must be added. For information on configuring portal pages, see Create and edit a page using the Service Portal Designer. For information on adding widgets to a page, see Service Portal widgets.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Employee Center.
    2. In Employee Center, navigate to the appropriate hub depending on whether you are a manager or employee.
      • If you are a manager, navigate to Your team > Manager Hub.
      • If you are an employee, navigate to Your career > Career Hub.
    3. On the prompt widget, display a list of all signals by selecting the Manage preferences icon (Actions icon.).
      Note:
      All signals for which there is a prompt in the prompts table are listed regardless of their status.
    4. Select Off for the signal that you want to opt out of.
      Note:
      If you decide you want to receive the prompt again, you would select On.
    5. Select Update.

    Result

    You will not receive prompts from the selected signal. The opted-out prompts are moved to the Dismiss state.
