Create a Mentoring program

  • Create customized mentoring programs that can be adopted by a mentee.

    About this task

    Mentoring admins can create multiple mentoring programs. Employees and managers use the Employee Center portal to enroll as mentors or mentees. See, Enroll as a mentor or mentee.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_ecn.mentoring_admin

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Mentoring > Programs.
    2. Select New.
    3. On the form, fill in the fields.

      Field Description
      Name Name of the program.
      Minimum duration The minimum number of moths that the mentoring program lasts.
      Maximum duration The maximum number of months that the mentoring program lasts.
      Default duration The default number of months that the mentoring program lasts.
      User criteria Records that contain lists of users that can participate in a mentoring program. See, Create User Criteria Records.
      Auto complete overdue mentoring When selected, a mentoring program is automatically closed when it’s overdue.
      Auto complete grace period The number of months to wait before auto-completing overdue program.
      Short description A brief description of a mentoring program that is visible in the UI that lists the program.
      Description A longer more detailed description of the mentoring program.
    4. Select Submit.
