Approve or reject a chemical request

    • The approver or the chemical manager can approve or reject the chemical request in the Employee Center.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_hs_chm.manager or approver

    About this task

    The approver can also choose to approve the chemical request from the Health and Safety Workspace. Open the record from the Approvers related list within the chemical request and select Approved in the State field.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Self service > Employee Center.
    2. Select My Tasks.
    3. View the Approve request record.
      You can view and verify the details of the request and choose to approve or reject a chemical request.
    4. In the Do you want to approve (chemical name)? field, add comments if needed.
    5. Select either the Reject or Approve button, depending on your decision regarding the chemical request.

    Result

    The status of the chemical request changes to Approved or Rejected based on the decision made.

    What to do next

    To view the state of the request as a chemical manager on the Health and Safety Workspace,
    1. Navigate to All > Health and Safety > Health and Safety Workspace.
    2. In the primary navigation, select Environmental Management (environmental management) icon.
    3. In the Chemical requests list, select the Approved section.
