Configure Now Assist for Employee Experience

  • If you have the admin role, you can configure the Now Assist for Employee Experience application so that employees can use Now Assist in Virtual Agent to quickly check the status of their work through conversations.

    To-do configuration and skills

    Your administrators can choose which portal's To-do configuration to apply Now Assist in Virtual Agent by using the now.assist.todos_portals system property.

    The Now Assist for Employee Experience application uses Now LLM Service conversation skills. It uses the Now Assist Topic skill in Now Assist in Virtual Agent.

    Before you begin

    Role required: admin

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to System Applications > All Available Applications > All.
    2. Find the application by using the filter criteria and search bar.
      You can search for the application by its name or ID. If you can’t find an application, request it from the ServiceNow store.
      Use the following details when required:
      • Name of the application: Now Assist for Employee Experience
      • ID of the application: sn_ex_gen_ai

      Visit the ServiceNow Store website to view all the available apps and for information about submitting requests to the store. For cumulative release notes information for all released apps, see the ServiceNow Store version history release notes.

    3. Select Install.
    4. Review the version details and application dependencies.

      Dependent plugins and applications are listed if they’ll be installed, are currently installed, or must be installed.

    Result

    The Now Assist for Employee Experience is installed.
