Order goods and services by submitting a catalog request from the chat. Describe your need in plain language and review the catalog item that the assistant identifies.
Before you begin
A conversational assistant — either Moveworks or Now Assist Chat — is configured on the instance.
The catalog item you need is published and visible to your user criteria.

About this task
Using the conversational interface, employees select items, fill out forms, submit requests, initiate a workflow, and track approvals and fulfillment. The chat resolves a plain-language request to a matching catalog item. It
opens the catalog form in a split view. You complete the request without leaving the conversation.
Procedure

In the chat, describe the item you need in plain language.
For example, enter Need access to Adobe application.
The assistant identifies the catalog item that matches the request and returns it with source links and citations.

Review the catalog item and citations in the chat response.
Select a citation to open the source panel and confirm that the item matches your requirements.

Select the catalog item to open the form in the split view.
The catalog form opens in the content panel alongside the conversation panel. Ask follow-up questions or add items in the conversation while you complete the form.

Complete the required fields in the catalog form and select Order Now.

Review the order details and submit the request by selecting Checkout.
Result
The request submits through the conversational flow. The submitted request appears as a link in the chat response and in the Everything Else tab of Tasks and requests. Track status from either location and receive notifications when the status changes.
