Set up Now Assist search in Browser Extension for Employee Center

    • Set up the Now Assist Virtual Agent search profile on the Browser Extension for Employee Center.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_ex_brw_ext.ecbe_admin

    Now Assist Virtual Agent plugin (sn_nowassist_va) version 9.0 must be installed to avail the Now Assist search functionality and the conversational flow in the Browser Extension for Employee Center. For more information, see Display your chat assistant on a portal, channel, or mobile app.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Conversational Interfaces > Assistants.
    2. In the Assistants page, select Now Assist in Virtual Agent (default) to open it.
    3. In the Now Assist Virtual Agent (default) page, go to Display experience to add a portal.
    4. Select the Employee Center Browser Extension portal and select the check box for the Allow the search bar to open into a full-page chat experience.
      Note:
      The Allow the search bar to open into a full-page chat experience check box must be selected to see the Now Assist search bar in the Browser Extension for Employee Center.

      If the check box isn’t selected, you only view the Now Assist genius card in the search results. You don't see the Now Assist search bar and the conversational flow in the extension. It only displays the AI Search bar.

    Result

    You have configured the Now Assist search bar in the Browser Extension for Employee Center.
