Create a custom opportunity type

  • Opportunity Marketplace comes with a few base system opportunity types. You can create a custom opportunity type to meet the needs of your organization.

    You can customize several areas for an opportunity type or use existing records. If you plan to create custom User criteria, Opportunity details, or Roles and requirements, you should create them before creating your custom Opportunity type.

    Procedimento

    1. Navigate to All > Opportunity Marketplace > Opportunity Type Configuration.
    2. Select New.
    3. In the Title field, enter a name for your Opportunity type.
    4. From the Role display list, select how you want to embed roles in the opportunity type.
      • Embedded within opportunity (1 position only)
      • Separate from opportunity (1 or more positions)
    5. Select a User criteria record to restrict access to a group of people that match that user criteria.
      Leave the field empty if you want to enable access to all licensed Opportunity Marketplace users. To create custom user criteria, see Create a user criteria record in Service Catalog.
    6. Select and existing Opportunity details record.
      If you want a customized Opportunity details record, see Create custom opportunity details records in Opportunity Marketplace.
    7. Select an existing Roles and requirements.
      If yo want a customized Roles and requirements record, see Create custom roles and requirements in Opportunity Marketplace.
    8. Add a description for your Opportunity type.
    9. If you want an icon to display for your Opportunity type, select Click to add.
      You can also add links for help topics. The help appears at the bottom of the Create an opportunity page in the Employee Center under Opportunities you own.
    10. Select Submit.
