The wet signature workflow is triggered when a legal request with signature type as Wet Signature is sent to the signatories for signing.

The signature type is specified while submitting a legal request. For more information, see [Submit a legal request for a NDA](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/NCGeFWpn4Yrw6KtAZjlzug "Submit a legal request for a non-disclosure agreement with third parties such as vendors, customers, or partners.").
The generic workflow for wet signature might progress as follows.
As a signatory:

* Receive an email notification requesting your signature.
* Open the contract document attached to the email.
* Print the contract attachment.
* Sign the contract printout and send it back to the requester.

As a legal requester:

* After receiving the signed contract document from all signatories, generate digital copy in PDF format.
* Attach the digital copy of the contract document to the legal request. For more information, see [Add a manually signed contract](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/j8T4gKGhYWyFgXtiqzHG1g "As a legal requester, on receiving the signed contract document from the signatories, add the digital version to the legal request record.").
