# Activate a skill

# Activate a Now Assist for Health and Safety skill {#ariaid-title1}

Activate a Now Assist for Health and Safety skill to enable the safety team to use the generative AI skills from Health and Safety Workspace and the Core UI.

The following table lists the skill that you can access from the Now Assist Admin console.

The Health and Safety incident summarization skill is available in the base system with the required configurations.  
Nota:  
Now LLM Service is currently the only provider for this Now Assist application's skills.

## Procedimento

1. Navigate to AllNow Assist AdminSkills to access the Now Assist Skills tab of the Now Assist Admin console.
2. From the workflow list, select Employee and then select Health and Safety.
3. On the tile for your skill, select Activate skill.
4. In the General details section, review the details and select Save and continue.
5. In the Choose Input section, review inputs for the selected skill.

6. Select Save and continue to go to the next step.
7. In the Select display section, review the interfaces where the skill appears.  
   * In-product: When selected, the Now Assist skills are displayed on workspaces.

     For the skills that appear in-product, select the down arrow to identify the roles that can use the skill.
   * Now Assist panel: When selected, Now Assist skills are available in the Now Assist panel. If you don't see this option, you must activate the Now Assist panel. For more information, see [Activate the Now Assist panel standard chat](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=activate-now-assist-panel&version=australia&pubname=australia-intelligent-experiences&ft:locale=en-US).

     For the skills that appear in the Now Assist panel, select the down arrow to identify the roles that can use the skill.

8. Select Save and continue.
9. In the Review and activate section, review your choices and select Activate to complete the configuration.  
   The skill is configured.
10. In the Active skills section of the Health and Safety page, verify that the skill is active from the Status column.
