catalogs and learning management systems that have been configured in the Learning Core application.

contains, managers to whom the catalog is viewable, users to whom the catalog is assigned.

Catalog allows you to drive access control.  
There are 2 levels of Access control:

* Catalog level
* Course level

Collections are groupings of courses that are orchestrated within ServiceNow.
