# Create a news article template

Create a news article template to enable content authors to reuse the article layout to rapidly assemble news articles.

## Antes de Iniciar

Role required: sn_cd.content_admin or sn_cd.content_template_owner

You can create a reusable article template from scratch or based on an existing news article: [Create a news article](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/8RChY488xQVfCw5595EOlg "Use News articles to keep employees updated on company news and announcements.")

## Procedimento

1. Navigate to Content PublishingContent Library.
2. Select the news article.
3. From the hamburger menu, select Clone as reusable article.

4. Enter a name for the reusable article.
5. Click Open editor to edit the layout.
6. Click Save.  
   The reusable article appears in Content PublishingReusable ComponentsReusable Articles.
