# Add or modify employee union membership

Use Employee Union Membership to identify employees that belong to a union and
associate their union information to their HR profile.

## Antes de Iniciar

Role required: admin

Creating union memberships allows you to gain visibility into employee membership through an HR profile and target content or tasks through HR criteria.")

## Procedimento

1. Navigate to AllHR ProfileHR Profiles.
2. Select New or an existing HR profile.  
   Nota:  
   For information on the fields to complete an HR profile, see [Add or modify an HR profile](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/qkK2qcxKB0xfBY1AxehjIw "Employees can directly edit some information in their HR profile, such as emergency contact information, but they are restricted from editing certain fields. If employees want to change information that they are restricted from editing, they must submit a general request to HR for the changes.").
3. After creating a new or editing an existing HR profile, select Save.  
   The HR profile related list appears.
4. From the Employee Union Membership tab, select New.
5. After entering the required information, select Save or Submit.
