# Issue a permit to work

A permit coordinator can issue a permit after the permit approver approves a request.

## Antes de Iniciar

Role required: sn_hs_rm.permit_coordinator

## Procedimento

1. Navigate to AllHealth and SafetyHealth and Safety Workspace.
2. Select the risk management icon (![Risk assessment icon]()).
3. In the Permit to work list, select All and then select a permit to review.
4. Review the safety requirements.  
   As part of the review, the permit coordinator can do the following:
   * Create a Health and Safety action
   * Review the approvers
   * Review the checklist

5. **Opcional:** Research content related to the permit by selecting the Agent assist icon (![agent assist icon]()).  
   Agent assist searches the knowledge base using the text from the permit's Short description field and shows relevant articles.
6. Select Issue permit.

## Resultado

The permit status changes to active and the permit requestor can print the permit through the Employee Center.

## O que Fazer Depois

Select Close permit when the job is complete. If necessary, the permit coordinator can perform the following further actions after closing the permit:

* If there are unsafe condition, select Cancel permit in the UI action menu.
* If a danger is expected after the permit is issued, select Suspend permit in the UI action menu. The permit can be suspended until the inspection is completed.
