To manage places and place types in Indoor Mapping Map Studio, start with creating icons for places, and then create a place type.

## Antes de Iniciar

Indoor Mapping place icons are used for places and to define what you see on your map. The icons are also used to style your place types. Place type sure used to categorize places. You can show or decide not to display places in a view. Place types have the following:

   | Field | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Name | Define the name of the place type. |
   | Default marker icon | Search and select the required icon from the list. |
   | Default stroke color | Color you want the Place Type to display on the Map Studio. Put the hash (#) symbol for the hexadecimal color for Map Studio to recognize and differentiate (Only available for polygons). For example: #008000 for Green color. |
   | Default stroke opacity | For the opacity, select a range between 0 and 1 (Only available for polygons) Here '0' denotes transparent and '1 'denotes opaque. |
   | Default stroke width | The thickness of the outline or stroke of your place type. |
   | Default polygon display | This option is enabled by default. Clear the selection if you want the place type to appear as a point on the map. A polygon will present the surface of a room, for example, meeting rooms or any other closed room. The point is used to represent a place that is not fixed or to represent a place that is not in a closed room like a resting place or a telephone. |
   | Default title display | Option to display the title of the place type on the Map Studio. |
   | Default marker display | Select this option to display the icon of your place type on the Map Studio. |
   | Active | Option to activate or deactivate or turn off the place types on maps. Turning off the place type will not remove the place type. It will be just inactive on your map, and there will be no points of interest in the map. |
