Request repair of enterprise assets using Service Catalog

  • Submit a Service Catalog request to repair enterprise assets that are defective or pending repair in your stockroom.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_eam.enterprise_asset_manager or sn_eam.enterprise_asset_technician.

    About this task

    You can request repair of multiple defective enterprise assets in your stockroom using a single catalog request.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Service catalog > Enterprise Asset Lifecycle > Asset Repair.
    2. On the form, fill in the fields.

      Field Description
      Due Date Date by which you want the defective assets to be repaired.
      Stockroom

      Stockroom that has assets to be repaired.

    3. Select assets to be repaired.
      1. Select the Edit Asset(s) icon .
      2. Select the assets from the list.
        You can add one or more assets to the request.
      3. Select the Lock icon .
    4. Select Submit.

    Result

    • Your repair request is submitted successfully.
    • A repair order is created in the Draft stage.
    • Each asset in the repair order is associated with a repair order line that is in the Troubleshoot stage.
