You can configure the API authentication method that grants users access to the Anglepoint integration resources on your ServiceNow instance.

The APIs that are used by the Anglepoint integration support both basic authentication and OAuth 2.0 authentication. Basic authentication uses standard usernames and passwords to grant users access to the resources on your ServiceNow instance. OAuth 2.0 authentication uses OAuth tokens to grant users access to those resources. To configure basic authentication, refer to either [Configure a REST message with basic auth](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=t_ConfigureRESTMsgBasicAuth&version=australia&pubname=australia-api-reference&ft:locale=en-US) or [Enable basic authentication for outbound SOAP](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=t_BasicAuthentication&version=australia&pubname=australia-api-reference&ft:locale=en-US). To configure OAuth 2.0 authentication,
refer to [Configure OAuth 2.0 authentication for the Anglepoint integration](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/T9uFR1WRLBzIdN2HSFfKAw "Configure OAuth 2.0 authentication to enable users to access Anglepoint integration resources through APIs using OAuth tokens.").
* **[Configure OAuth 2.0 authentication for the Anglepoint integration](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/T9uFR1WRLBzIdN2HSFfKAw)**
Configure OAuth 2.0 authentication to enable users to access Anglepoint integration resources through APIs using OAuth tokens.
