# Zero Touch request flow

# Manage hardware asset requests using the Zero Touch request flow {#ariaid-title1}

Fulfill hardware asset requests of your employees through an external provider by using the Zero Touch request flow.

## Setup required for providers {#managing-standard-hw-req-ztr__section_ss2_kyh_kbc}

The provider must complete the following tasks to fulfill the requests received through the Zero Touch request flow:

1. [Complete the Service Exchange setup for providers](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/ZDhee~bldkG8KQ6u8yBvpQ "The Zero Touch request flow uses the Service Exchange application to connect providers with your ServiceNow instance to manage hardware asset requests submitted through the Service Catalog.").
2. [Configure Scratchpad to send updates to your consumer](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/DLaNUwB8mKLjvqmLXpHQ2g "As a provider, use the Scratchpad feature of the Service Exchange application to send updates to the ServiceNow instance of your consumer while performing the request fulfillment tasks.").

Note:  
After completing the prerequisites of the Zero Touch request flow, the provider can fulfill provider tasks. ## Setup required for your Service Catalog requests {#managing-standard-hw-req-ztr__section_mcr_j13_kbc}

Make sure that you have the completed the following tasks so that your catalog requests can be fulfilled through an external provider:

1. 2. [Manage Service Catalog items for the Zero Touch request flow](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/tpjR8sl3tnEcUkHW5CGTTw "As a catalog administrator, configure your Service Catalog items so that the hardware asset requests can be fulfilled by an external provider.").

   Note:  
   You must perform this task only if the Scratchpad update received from your provider isn't in the format required for the Zero Touch request flow.
