# Opt in to hardware asset performance KPI tracking

# Opt in to model categories to track performance KPIs for hardware assets {#ariaid-title1}

Monitor the performance KPIs of hardware assets in your organization by enabling the KPI tracking for the models to which the assets belong.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to WorkspacesHardware Asset WorkspaceAsset operationsKPI configuration.
2. From the KPI configuration list, select KPI opt in.
3. From the list of model categories, select the one for which you want to enable the KPI tracking.
4. On the Asset performance tracking form, select the Track performance KPI check box.
5. Select Save.
