# Acknowledge received assets

# Acknowledge receipt of an asset received through the Zero Touch request flow {#ariaid-title1}

As an employee, acknowledge receipt of the new asset that you received through the Zero Touch request flow on a mobile device.

## Before you begin

To use your mobile device for this acknowledgment, you must have the ServiceNow mobile app installed on your iOS or Android mobile device.

Role required: User of the asset.

## About this task

You can only confirm the receipt of hardware assets on a mobile device. To acknowledge the receipt of consumable assets, contact your
Asset
Manager.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to My ItemsMy assets.
2. Tap the asset.
3. Tap Scan delivered asset.
4. Provide the asset tag information.
   * To provide the information through a scan, scan the asset tag of the asset.
   * To provide the information manually, enter a value in the Asset tag field.

5. Select Submit.

## Result

* The state of the asset changes to In use.
* The stage of the requested item in the catalog request changes to Complete.
