## Before you begin

Role required: sn_eam.enterprise_asset_manager

## About this task

The Model hierarchy option is shown only for a model that's associated with a parent or that has model components. Model hierarchy isn't shown for simple, consumable, and hardware models. The parent hierarchy details of a
model aren't displayed.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to WorkspacesEnterprise Asset WorkspaceModel management.
2. Select the pre-assembled or user-assembled model.
3. Select the Hierarchy icon (![Hierarchy icon]()) on the contextual sidebar.
The model hierarchy is shown in a tree-like format. All the model components of the model that you selected are displayed.
On the model hierarchy, the following details are displayed:
   * A number at the right of the model shows the total number of model components associated with that model.
   * Quantity is displayed only for consumable models.
   * The component number is added as a prefix to the model component.
