Create an Asset put away task in the Enterprise Asset Workspace

    • Create an Asset put away task manually for the In stock assets in the Enterprise Asset Workspace to track the movement of assets within the stockroom.

    About this task

    You can create an asset put away task in the Enterprise Asset Workspace for the In stock assets for which the Aisle and Space field value isn’t already specified. When you create a put away task, you can either directly close the task or save it. To close the task, the Drop off location field value is required.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > Enterprise Asset Workspace > Inventory.
    2. Open the Create New Asset put away task form either from the Inventory overview section or the All Stockrooms tab.
      • In the Inventory overview section, select the Open put away tasks card and select New.
      • In the Stockrooms tab, select a Stockroom and then in the Open stockroom tasks section, select the Open put away tasks card. Select New.
    3. On the form, fill in the fields.
      For a description of the field values, see Asset put away task fields.
    4. Save your modifications.
      • To save your changes and create the Asset put away task, select Save.
      • To save your changes and close the Asset put away task, select Close task.
        Note:
        Drop off location field value is required to close the Asset put away task.
