- Regulatory event alert
-
A regulatory event alert is a system notification that informs stakeholders about changes in laws or regulations affecting the organization’s operations. These alerts are a critical component of a firm’s regulatory compliance framework, designed to ensure timely awareness and response to evolving legal and regulatory obligations.
Regulatory event alerts provide early visibility into developments that may necessitate updates to internal policies, procedures, controls, or risk management strategies. They help organizations maintain compliance, mitigate potential regulatory risks, and align internal practices with current legal requirements.
Regulatory event alerts provide real-time or near-real-time notifications to support proactive compliance management. These alerts help designated users such as compliance officers, legal teams, and business leaders take timely action. You can assess the regulatory change's impact and determine the appropriate next steps for the organization.
- Source document alert
-
A source document refers to an official publication or authoritative record that provides essential information pertaining to laws, regulations, or regulatory guidelines. In Regulatory Change Management, source documents serve as the original and credible reference materials that inform an organization's understanding of legal and regulatory obligations.
These documents are issued by regulatory bodies or authorities and may include statutes, guidance notes, policy statements, consultation papers, regulatory updates, and enforcement notices.
Within Regulatory Change Management, source documents curated by Thomson Reuters Regulatory Intelligence (TRRI) are integrated to ensure users have access to reliable, up-to-date, and jurisdiction-specific regulatory content.
By linking regulatory alerts and compliance activities to the relevant source documents, organizations can ensure traceability, strengthen audit readiness, and maintain alignment with the latest regulatory expectations.
