# Configure grid categories

# Configure grid categories {#ariaid-title1}

Configure a grid category such as Dependency Assessment for the grid configuration. Use the Grid Categories module in the Business Continuity Management application navigator to configure the grid categories.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_bcm.admin

## About this task

To create custom columns (grid configuration) for the BIA dependency group from the BCM Configurable Workspace, see [KB1645940](https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB1645940).

## Procedure

1. Navigate to Business ContinuityGeneral AdministrationGrid Categories.
2. Select New.
3. On the form, fill in the fields.

4. Select Submit.
