# Accept and work

# Accept and work on a Personal Data Rights task {#ariaid-title1}

Accept Personal Data Rights (PDR) tasks that are assigned to you. Unless you accept the work, you will not be able to work towards closing the task.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_grc_pdr.pdr_agent

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllPersonal Data Rights Workspace
2. On the PDR Workspace, navigate to ListsPersonal data rightsAll requests.
3. Open the required request.
4. On the Action tasks related list, select the action task that you want to accept.
5. Select Accept work.  
   Note:  
   You can only accept work on action tasks that are in the Assigned state. If the task is not yet assigned, select Update state, then change the state to Assigned.
6. Provide your notes and select Accept work.
7. On the Details tab, provide the details for the task.
8. After you complete the task, select one of the following.

   | Choice | Action |
   | To send the task for review | Select Ready for review. |
   | To close the task without review | Select Close as complete. |
