Activate or update EU Artificial Intelligence Act

    • Activate or update the EU Artificial Intelligence Act framework and select the citations relevant to your organization. The citations are installed into your instance so they can be mapped to control objectives and used in assessments.

    Before you begin

    Install the AI Risk and Compliance content application before activating frameworks. For more information, see Install AI Risk and Compliance content.

    About this task

    Activating the EU Artificial Intelligence Act installs the framework's citations into your instance. You select which articles and chapters are relevant to your organization — you don't need to install the entire framework. After the framework is activated, select Update to add or remove citations in the future. For a description of what the EU AI Act content pack contains, see AI Risk and Compliance Content Pack.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > AI Risk and Compliance Workspace.
    2. Select the AI Risk and Compliance Content icon on the AI Risk and Compliance Workspace.
    3. Select the Activate button on the EU Artificial Intelligence Act Framework card.
      Important:
      Verify that you have selected the correct version of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act.
    4. Read the disclaimer statement and select Agree.
    5. Choose the required citations from the list and select Next.
      Note:
      Only citations with a status of Ready can be selected.
    6. Review and confirm the selected citations.
    7. Select Submit.
    8. Optional: To add or remove citations after activation, select Update on the EU Artificial Intelligence Act card, then repeat steps 5 through 7 to revise your citation selections.
      The Update button appears only after the framework is activated.

    Result

    The selected EU Artificial Intelligence Act citations are installed on your instance and are available for mapping to control objectives and use in assessments.
