Grant site access to a contractor worker

    • When the contractor worker has completed all prerequisite tasks, you can grant them access to the site to perform required tasks.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_hs_crm.contractor_coordinator

    About this task

    Adding site access for workers also helps the safety team to know who's checked in and out of the site at any given point in time.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Health and Safety > Health and Safety Workspace.
    2. Open a contractor worker record to grant the site access to.
      OptionSteps
      From a contractor company record
      1. Select the contractor management icon (Contractor management icon) to open the Contractor Management tab.
      2. In the Lists tab, select Contractor companies and then All.
      3. Open the company that the worker belongs to.
      4. In the Workers tab, select the worker from the list to grant the site access to.
      From Health and Safety user profile list
      1. Select the configuration icon (Configuration icon).
      2. In the Lists tab, select Health and safety profiles and then All.
      3. From the list, select the worker from the list to grant the site access to.
    3. In the Site access tab, select New.
      Tip:
      You can also add site access for workers from the Site access tab in the contractor company record.
    4. On the form, fill in the fields.

      Field Description
      State State of the site access.

      Set it to Active to grant the site access.
      Worker Name of the contractor worker.

      When you create this site access record from a contractor worker record, this field is auto-populated with the worker's name.
      Location Location of the site this access applies to.
      Start date Date when the worker's can first access the site.
      End date Date when the worker's site access ends.
    5. Select Save.

    Result

    • The access is listed in the Site access tab of the contractor worker record.
    • The access is also listed in the Site access tab of the contractor company that this worker belongs to.
