# Edit mentor preferences

# Edit mentor preferences {#ariaid-title1}

As a mentor, edit your preferences based on your skills, focus areas, and topics of
interest that you would like to discuss with your mentor.

## Before you begin

Role required: none

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllEmployee CenterYour careerMentoringOverview.
2. From the Edit preferences list, select Edit mentor preferences.
3. On the Mentor preferences form, fill in the fields.  
   For a description of the field values, see [Mentor preferences form](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/wV9Wxlt10_0VN14Iw1LK5w "Use this form to record your preferences as a mentor.").
4. Select Save and close.
