Create a communication task

  • Create an on-demand, customized message for a critical event in Critical Event Management, choose how often to send it, and select the communication channels.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_critical.agent

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > Health and Safety Workspace and select the Critical Event Management tab.
    2. Open the critical event.
    3. Select the Notification center tab.
    4. Select the Create new communication button.
    5. In the Communication form, fill in the fields.
      For a description of the field values, see Communication form.
    6. Select Compose communication.

    Result

    If you chose Now from the Compose and send communication field on the Communication form, then a new tab opens so you can choose a template and compose your message. If you chose Later, then you're redirected back to the Notification center tab.
    Note:
    You must compose the message before you can send the communication. For more information on composing an existing communication task, see Sending notifications during a critical event.
