Activate the Japanese Vulnerability Notes Integration

    • Activate the JVN Integration to ingest vulnerability data from the Japanese Vulnerability Notes (JVN) database using scheduled or on-demand integration runs.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_vul_int_fw.configure_integrations

    The JVN Integration retrieves the following vulnerability data published by JPCERT/CC:

    • JVN vulnerability identifiers (for example, JVNDB-2025-32423)
    • Vulnerability titles and descriptions
    • Publication and last-modified timestamps
    • CVSS scores, vectors, and severity levels
    • Affected software information
    • Reference URLs and external identifiers
    • Related CVE identifiers referenced by the JVN vulnerability

    All data is processed through the Vulnerability Integration Framework and Central Vulnerability Database.

    Procedure

    1. In the Filter Navigator, enter sn_vul_int_fw_integration.LIST and press Enter.
    2. Select JVN Integration.
    3. Select the Active check box.
      Note:
      The JVN integration is pre-configured to run daily. Changing other integration parameters requires ServiceNow expertise and may result in incomplete or inconsistent vulnerability data. The Import since date field in the JVN Integration is empty by default. Keep it empty to fetch all vulnerability data.
      1. Select the Vulnerability Integration Data tab.
      2. Set the Import since field to the date from which you want to retrieve data. Each successful import sets this date to the last successful integration completion date and time.
    4. Select Execute Now to perform an initial full integration run.

    What to do next

    After the initial import is complete, confirm that scheduled imports of delta data have resumed. For integration run statuses, see View the Integrations for Central Vulnerability Database Import Run Status. If your initial import fails, or you don't want to wait for the scheduled initial import, perform a full data import independent of the daily scheduled job.
