Request a security incident summary or closure notes from the ServiceNow Otto panel.

## Before you begin

See [ServiceNow Otto panel](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=now-assist-panel-overview&version=australia&pubname=australia-intelligent-experiences&ft:locale=en-US) for how to activate the panel.

Roles required: si_analyst, si_manager, or sn_si.basic

## Procedure

1. Log in to an instance where the ServiceNow Otto for Security Incident Response (SIR) application is installed.
2. In the legacy Core UI, navigate to AllSecurity IncidentIncidents and open a security incident that is assigned to you.
3. Alternatively, navigate to AllSecurity IncidentSecurity Incident Response Workspace and open a security incident that is assigned to you.
4. Select the ServiceNow Otto icon (![AI Sparkle icon.]()) icon.

   | Option | Description |
   | Generate resolution notes | In the panel, select Generate resolution notes. The closure notes generated in the panel are identical to those generated when you close a security incident from a record. Closure notes for security incidents are created based on any actions taken for remediation and containment, and other relevant details related to their closure. Note: You might want to review the generated text and make sure it's accurate before you close the security incident. Edit the notes or delete them to provide your own. See [Generate closure notes](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/HWeP1dIXilE1F2K8DTzG7w "Automatically generate a draft of the closure notes for a security incident when you close it. The draft is editable and will be reviewed before closing the security incident, and it can be used or modified as needed. Closure notes provide information about the resolution of a security incident to other analysts, managers, and key stakeholders.") for more information. |
   | Summarize a security incident | In the panel, select Summarize a record. The summary generated in the panel is identical to the one that you generate from a security incident record. Summaries generated by AI might miss key details. You might prefer to review the summary for accuracy and completeness before you proceed. See [Summarize a security incident](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/WuiYXhGs_TTCmYr4nkbuCg "Understand the context of a security incident with the Security Incident summarization generative AI skill.") for more information. |
   | Generate correlation insights | In the panel, select Generate correlation insights. Correlation insights from the panel to help you connect past events to the security incident you're working on. See [Exploring correlation insights](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/UWB1_7QXFC2dkUcsXolv2Q "Generate correlation insights to avoid duplicating your investigation into affected users, configuration items, and observables and resolve the security incident that you're working on quickly. You select the criteria from a security incident that you want to base the correlation insights on.") and [Generate correlation insights in the ServiceNow Otto panel](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/nd7OD2F4ij~YsTFxxZT2QA "Generate correlation insights from the ServiceNow Otto panel to help you connect past events to the security incident that you're working on.") for more information. |
