# Manually add a vulnerable item to a remediation task {#ariaid-title1}

If a vulnerable item is left ungrouped, you can add it to a remediation
task.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_vul.vulnerability_admin or sn_vul.admin (deprecated)

Persona and granular roles are available to help you manage what users and groups can see and do in the Vulnerability Response application. ## Procedure

1. Record the vulnerable number.
2. Navigate to AllVulnerability ResponseRemediation Tasks.
3. Choose a remediation task (VUL) for your vulnerable item.
4. Select Edit in the lower right.
5. Enter the vulnerable item number in the search field for Collection.
6. Select the vulnerable item from the collection and add to the list.
7. Click Save.
