# View the remediation target status of a Vulnerability Response vulnerable item

# View the remediation target status of a Vulnerability Response vulnerable item {#ariaid-title1}

When a vulnerable item has nearly reached (or passed) its remediation target date, as defined by a remediation target rule, the vulnerable item record is updated with a status. This information can help the analyst proactively
monitor upcoming remediation activities.

## Before you begin

* sn_vul.vulnerability_admin
* sn_vul.read_remediation_target_rules \[read only\]

Persona and granular roles are available to help you manage what users and groups can see and do in the Vulnerability Response application. ## About this task

A [scheduled job](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=c_ScheduledJobs&version=australia&pubname=australia-platform-administration&ft:locale=en-US) called Evaluate remediation targets runs once per day to compare the current date against the vulnerable item remediation date specified in the associated remediation target rule. When the current date falls within the number of days before the remediation is past due, a remediation status is added to the vulnerable item record.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllVulnerabilityVulnerable Items.
2. Click on the vulnerable item you want to review.  
   If the remediation date for the vulnerable item is within range of the conditions set in the remediation target rule, the Remediation Target Status tab is visible.
3. Click on the Remediation Target Status tab.
4. Click on the remediation target status record to review it.
