To help you with remediation, you can perform these additional administrative setup
tasks as part of your configuration outside of the basic setup. You perform these tasks outside of
the Setup Assistant.

You can use the default reporting supplied with Vulnerability Response to oversee your
security posture. You can edit those reports if they do not suit your environment, or use them as
templates to create your own.

If the Performance Analytics for Vulnerability Response application is installed, you can create reports, responsive
dashboards, and more. See
[Getting Started with reports](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=c_GenerateReports&version=australia&pubname=australia-now-intelligence&ft:locale=en-US) for more
information.

Email notifications increase productivity and smooth workflow.

With Software Exposure Assessment, look up the publisher, product name, and version number in
Software Asset Management (SAM Foundation) to determine your
exposure to vulnerable software.

Visibility into vulnerability libraries can provide flexibility with grouping and remediation
tasks.

Configure Exception Management to help you when your organization can't comply with a published
vulnerability management or security policy, standard, or guideline, you can request an
exception.

For more additional setup tasks, refer to the topics that follow this overview.
