Add a new software to the Exposure Assessment module to assess the impact of a new vulnerability or zero-day vulnerability.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_vul_analyst.vul_event_manager

## Procedure

1. Navigate to WorkspacesVulnerability Assessment WorkspaceExposure AssessmentAssess by SoftwareAdd.
2. On the form, fill in the fields.

   | Field | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Publisher | Publisher of the software. |
   | Product | Product name of the software. |
   | Version | Version of the software product. |
   | Edition | Edition of the software. |

   Note:  
   If you try to add exposure for software that exists in the table with the status 'false', a duplicate record is not created. The status of the existing software is updated to 'true'.
3. Select the Add option.
4. To assess the impact of the software that are already in the list:
   1. Select the check box of the software that you want to reassess.
   2. Select the Reassess button.  
      The updated details appear in respective columns.
