Install, activate, and configure the Microsoft TVM integrations for the Microsoft Defender Integration for Security Exposure Management with the Setup Assistant.

## Before you begin

Before you can run the Microsoft Threat and Vulnerability and Defender for Cloud integrations that are bundled with the Microsoft Defender Integration for Security Exposure Management application, you must download the Microsoft Defender Integration for Security Exposure Management application from the ServiceNow Store and install it.

Before you download and install the application, confirm you have completed all the items in the [checklist](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/fV0EgfwHBVhdkKfPFKkeXg "Prepare for the integration installation and configuration by performing setup tasks."). For information on setting up your Microsoft Azure account, see [Set up Microsoft Azure for the MS TVM integration](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/5~371BIKzVdVsMnN50UqWg "Set up your account in the Microsoft Azure portal to access the Microsoft Threat and Vulnerability Management (MS TVM) API remotely. You need this account to access the MS TVM tenant to gather information for machines, vulnerabilities, and security recommendations.").
There are separate configuration steps for the two integration products bundled in the Microsoft Defender Integration for Security Exposure Management application. Each integration has its own configuration steps.

* Install the application and configure the Microsoft Threat and Vulnerability (MS TVM) Integrations with the Setup Assistant with the following steps.
* See [Configure the Cloud integrations](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/gHlherunjUBbuF2PlA8IhQ "After you install and configure the Microsoft Defender Integration for Security Exposure Management, configure the Microsoft Defender for Cloud integrations.") to enter your account and URL information for the Microsoft Defender for Cloud integrations.
* Note:
  The integrations support commercial cloud environments by default. If you require non-commercial support (GCC High, DoD, etc.), see the [Non-commercial configuration for Microsoft Defender Integration for Security Exposure Management](https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB3141167) Knowledge Base article \[KB3141167\] for more information.
