# Activate or deactivate software for exposure assessment

# Activate or deactivate software for exposure assessment {#ariaid-title1}

To stop further delta processing of software, you can choose to deactivate it, thus removing it from the active list of software.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_vul_analyst.vul_event_manager

## Procedure

1. Navigate to WorkspacesVulnerability Assessment WorkspaceExposure AssessmentAssess by Software.
2. To deactivate, select the required active software and select the Deactivate option.  
   The software is deactivated.  
   Note:  
   To activate software, follow the same process and select the Activate option.
3. Refresh the page to view the updated status (false) in the Active column.
