  • Request the development or procurement of an AI use case to initiate and document the need for an AI-driven solution within an organization. This process ensures that AI implementations are aligned with business goals, compliant with regulations, and technically feasible.

    Role required: AI risk and compliance business user (Employee Center), sn_ai_asset_mgmt.ai_asset_owner (AI Control Tower dashboard)

    About this task

    The Request an AI System feature enables you to initiate requests for the development or procurement of AI-based solutions. Whether you need a custom AI model, an automation tool, or an advanced analytics system, this platform streamlines the process by capturing key requirements and facilitating approvals.

    For example, a financial institution wants to improve its loan approval process by implementing an AI-based credit scoring system. The finance team submits an AI request, detailing their requirements, such as risk assessment details, credit data analysis, and automated decision-making. The request is then reviewed for feasibility, budget, and compliance before development or procurement proceeds.

    Procedure

    1. Request an AI system from either the Employee Center or the AI Control Tower dashboard.
      • Navigate to All > Self-Service > Employee Center.
      • Navigate to All > AI Control Tower.
    2. On the Employee Center landing page, select Technology services > AI assets.
      1. Select the Request an AI use case card.
    3. On the AI Control Tower dashboard, select the list List icon. icon, and navigate to the AI asset inventory.
      1. Select Add AI Asset.
      2. Select AI System, and select Next to continue.
    4. On the form, fill in the fields.

    5. Optional: To add attachments, select Add attachments.
    6. Optional: To save the form as a draft and edit it later, select Save as Draft.
    7. Select Submit.
      After you submit this form, the AI Center of Excellence team reviews it and guides you through the process.
