# Activate skills

# Activate Now Assist skills in ServiceNow Otto for Integrated Risk Management (IRM) {#ariaid-title1}

Activate a skill before you can use the generative AI capabilities for the ServiceNow Otto for Integrated Risk Management (IRM) application.

## Before you begin

Install the ServiceNow Otto for IRM plugin (sn_irm_gen_ai).

Role required: sn_nowassist_admin.nsa_admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllAdmin CenterNow Assist Admin.
2. On the Now Assist Skills tab, under the Technology workflow group, select Risk \& Sustainability.
3. On the Now Assist skills for Risk \& Sustainability page, activate a skill by selecting Activate skill.
4. Review the details of the skills on each tab, configure the skills, and select Save and continue.  
   You can return to a previous step by using the Back button.
5. Review your choices and select Activate.  
   Your skill is configured.
