# Approve or reject model assessment and validation tasks {#ariaid-title1}

Approve or reject the model assessment and validation tasks either from the Employee Center or Model Risk Workspace.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_model_risk_mgmt.task_approver

## Procedure

1. To approve or reject model assessment and validation tasks from the GRC tasks page, navigate to AllSelf-ServiceEmployee Center and do the following:
   1. Under My active items, select GRC tasks.
   2. Select Approvals from the My to-dos card.
   3. To approve or reject model assessment tasks, select Model assessment tasks and open the task.
   4. To approve or reject model validation tasks, select Model validation tasks and open the task.

2. To approve or reject model assessment and validation tasks from the Model Risk Workspace, navigate to AllModel Risk Workspace and do the following:
   1. Select the tasks icon ![]().
   2. To approve or reject model assessment tasks, select MRM Assessments and open the task.
   3. To approve or reject model validation tasks, select MRM Validations and open the task.

3. Select Approve.
4. **Optional:** To reject the task, select Reject and do the following:
   1. Provide rejection comments.
   2. Select Reject.  
      This action terminates the current workflow and initiates it again from the beginning.
