# Add a risk event consequence to the consequence library

# Add a risk event consequence to the consequence library {#ariaid-title1}

A consequences library is a centralized library of the possible consequences of a
risk event.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_risk.manager and sn_risk.admin

## About this task

Add a risk event consequence to the consequence library to help
with risk analysis, risk prediction, and risk prevention.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllRisk EventsAdministrationConsequences.
2. Click New.
3. On the form, fill in the fields.

   | Field | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Name | Consequence name. For example, <kbd class="ph userinput">Asset loss</kbd>. |
   | Parent | Parent of the consequence. The parent refers to the group under which the consequence is categorized. For example, for Asset loss, the parent consequence can be Damage to Physical Assets. |
   | Description | Brief description of the consequence. |

4. Click Submit.

## Result

The risk event consequence is added to the library.
