Configure the documentation section to describe your plan through structured components: a high-level checklist, purpose, scope, and coverage areas.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_bcm.admin, sn_bcp.plan_admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to Business ContinuityGeneral AdministrationDocumentation Sections.
2. Select New.  
   The documentation section template is shown in the example.

3. On the form, fill in the fields.  
   For more information on the fields, see [Documentation Section record form](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/Tr3AYjxTsRHESXBxTluxZA "Use the Documentation Section record form to describe a plan in the structured sections in the BCM UIB Workspace.").

   The example shows the documentation section template from the demo data.

4. Select Submit.
