Manage capabilities maps

  • Manage the usage status for capabilities and how they’re being used in your instance. The information in the capabilities status fields feeds the capabilities maps summary bar.

    Before you begin

    You can view and update the statuses of capabilities that can be used in your instance, as well as hide and unhide capabilities. No specific role is required to view capabilities maps.

    Role required: Platform Owner, Impact Admin

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Impact > Product Adoption > Capabilities maps.
    2. Select an instance if there are multiple instances available.
    3. Select a product from the available workflows in the left-hand navigation menu.
      All capabilities for the selected workflow and product are displayed in a table with color-coded status indicators.

    4. Update the status for one or more capabilities.
      1. Update a single status: Select a status from the color-coded status indicator on the application tile and select a status from the drop-down.

      2. Bulk update: Select the check box for multiple capabilities, then select a status from the Change Status button.

        The status automatically refreshes for the selected capabilities.
      3. Update all: Select the check box for Select all capabilities, then select a status from the Change Status button.
    Hide and Unhide capabilities.
    1. Optional: Hide a capability from the capabilities map in an instance.
      When you set the capabilities map Show hidden filter to No, hidden applications are not visible in the list of applications.Shows the Show hidden drop-down set to No, to not display hidden capabilities.
      1. Hide a single capability: Select the check box next to the capability, then select the Hide button.
        Shows the capabilities matrix and the Hide button.
      2. Bulk hide: Select the check box for multiple capabilities, then select the Hide button.
    2. Select the Hide button in the confirmation message.
      Shows the hide confirmation dialogue box.
      Selected applications will not display when the capabilities map Show hidden filter is set to No.
    3. Optional: Unhide capabilities so they display in the capabilities map when the Show hidden filter is set to No.
      1. Set the Show hidden capabilities filter to Yes.
        Shows the capabilities filter with the Show Hidden value set to Yes.
        The hidden capabilities tiles are displayed in the list of applications.
      2. Unhide a single capability: Select the check box next to the capability, then select the Unhide button.
      3. Bulk Unhide: Select the check box for multiple capabilities, then select the Unhide button.
        The previously hidden applications display in the capabilities map. When you set the capabilities map Show hidden filter to No, these applications will be visible in the list of applications.
