Update an alert description in Express List based on a Now Assist analysis summary

    • Update alert descriptions in alert groups or single alerts in Express List, to a human-readable summary generated by Now Assist.

    About this task

    Updating the alert description is available for the alert types:
    • Tag-based alert group.
    • CMDB correlation alert group.
    • Network Traffic correlation alert group.
    • Log Analytics single alerts and alert group.
    • Mixed alert group.
    • Automated alert group.

    Before you begin

    Role required: evt_mgmt_operator, evt_mgmt_admin

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > Service Operations Workspace.
    2. In the navigation bar, select the Express List icon (Express List icon.).
    3. In the Active alerts list, select the information icon (Information icon.) of an alert.
    4. On the preview panel Info tab, select Analyze in Alert analysis by Now Assist.
    5. Review the human-readable, AI-generated summary in the Alert analysis.
    6. On the preview panel Info tab, select Update description to update the description based on the summary content of the alert group.
      The AI-generated summary content replaces the original description of the alert group.
