Assign user to Event Management admin role

  • Assign the evt_mgmt_admin role to users who will be in charge of Event Management configuration and operational control.

    Before you begin

    Verify that the ITOM AIOps and Now Assist for IT Operations Management plugins are installed.

    Ensure you're in the Configure IT Operations Management page.

    Role required: evt_mgmt_admin

    About this task

    The evt_mgmt_admin role provides users with the necessary permissions to configure and manage Event Management settings, including alert processing, incident creation, and operational controls.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Configuration Summary > Event Management > Platform foundations.
    2. Expand Platform foundations.
    3. Select Assign Event Management admins.
    4. In the User field, select the user to assign the role to.

      The Role field is read-only and displays evt_mgmt_admin.

    5. Select Assign role.
      The role is assigned to the selected user.
    6. To complete the setup, select Mark as configured.
