Now Assist AI web agents
Now Assist AI web agent is a chat and browser interface that runs within a ServiceNow instance to help you tackle complex or repetitive tasks across the ServiceNow AI Platform and other third-party properties. It “sees” and “interacts” with the ServiceNow interface just as you would—clicking, typing, and scrolling—to execute actions on your behalf.
Web Agents overview
Now Assist AI web agents are a type of AI Agent, invoked by the Orchestrator. Unlike other AI agents, however, Now Assist AI web agents stay on the browser and do not use preconfigured APIs, scripts, or other backend logic. They function as interactive, visible assistants that mimic human critical thinking and decision-making through UI actions. Simply tell a web agent what you need, from updating user roles to scheduling maintenance, and it handles the work for you—seamlessly and behind the scenes. It performs tasks in a similar way to humans interacting with the UI: visually comprehending the screens, inspecting the UI elements, and then reasoning to determine the next steps.
