  • Add an MCP server from the AI Control Tower.

    Antes de Iniciar

    Role required: sn_ai_governance.ai_steward

    Nota:
The AI steward (sn_ai_governance.ai_steward) role gets inherited with the following roles:
    • (AI admin) sn_aia.admin
    • (AIG admin) aig_admin
    • (MCP Client admin) sn_mcp_client.admin
For more information on the AI steward role and its responsibilities, see AI Control Tower roles

    Procedimento

    1. Navigate to AI assets > AI asset inventory > MCP servers.
    2. Select Add.
    3. Enter the Name (Server name).
    4. Enter the MCP server URL.
      Nota:
Enter the Name and MCP server URL manually or click Choose from MCP Catalog to enter the details.

      Nota:
There are three sections for the URL:
      • Authorization URL- where the user authenticates and grants access token\
      • Token URL- where the system exchanges and authorization code for an access token
      • Token revocation URL- Used to invalidate issued tokens if supported.
    8. Select Submit.

The newly added MCP server appears in the AI asset inventory MCP servers list with its lifecycle status marked as ''In AI steward review''.
